Since 2023, Cam has been working with an international cohort of women and nonbinary writers under the aegis of Syllble Studios, a collaborative worldbuilding production house, to create stories highlighting the effects of climate change in the year 2070. The result: the S.S. State of Mind, a dramedy about a crisis response ship that traverses the globe, transporting refugees and bringing disaster aid to those in need (think Star Trek on a boat).

The stories of the S.S. State of Mind explore issues such as class inequality, corporate power, the burgeoning capabilities of AI, and of course, the existential threat of climate change, all through the eyes of an international cast of characters from all walks of life.
